While in Dublin, Garth and I wanted to see the coast, but we didn't exactly have enough time to make it to Galway (on the west coast of Ireland people say is truly stunning). Luckily, we met up with some local Dubliners, and one of them mentioned taking a day trip to Howth, only a short train ride from Dublin.
The next day we woke up early, hopped on a DART train, and made our way to the most amazing little fisherman's town, Howth. If you are in Dublin, we highly recommend you make this day trip. It is 100%, absolutely worth it.
We were warned that it would be fairly windy and potentially drizzly off and on. This amazing white Topshop raincoat worked perfectly in the weather. Don't you love the lining?!! This one is currently out of stock, but you can shop similar looks in the links below!
The best part of Howth is the beautiful, very reasonable hike you can take around the edges of town. It offers fantastic views!
If you decide to take the trip out to Howth you can easily see the little town, hike, have lunch and STILL be back in Dublin in the afternoon, in time to visit city sites and some pubs =) !
